From us, now we’ll be anxiously waiting to hear from them as I reflect on our work, I become aware of just how quickly the tables have turned: high school seniors have been waiting with nervous anticipation to hear. We understand that the students we have admitted are among the list of most useful on earth. All have numerous options that are excellent university so we can hardly wait to discover who will accept our offer and join the Trojan Family.

Getting our decisions within the mail is the culmination of numerous months (and tens-of-thousands of hours) of work. I am incredibly proud of this entire USC Enrollment Services team—for its commitment, effort and professionalism. The group of students that we have identified for admission is the better in USC’s 133-year history!

And speaking of incredible pupils, here are just a details that are few this year’s admitted freshman class:

• 19.6% of applicants were admitted
• significantly more than 3,100 different high schools are represented
• Our admitted students come from every U.S. state, the District of Columbia and 79 different countries
• Outside of California, the five most represented states are Texas, Illinois, nyc, Washington and Massachusetts
• Outside the U.S., probably the most represented countries are China, South Korea, India, Canada and Singapore
• 1-in-9 is the first in their family to attend college
• 64% are students of color
• 17% are worldwide students
• The typical admitted student comes with an un-weighted high college GPA of 3.8. With weighting, the GPA is more than 4.0.
• The conventional admitted student took 6-8 AP courses (assuming these people were offered by his / her senior high school)
• 75% of our admitted students have standardized test scores in at least the 95th percentile

Thank you for coming with this journey with us. No matter the outcome, we now have certainly enjoyed getting to know each and every applicant on the year that is last. I understand it feels like a form that is small of but it’s maybe not. We wouldn’t have traded my spring acknowledge status for anything. It allowed me to have a little more hours after high college to understand most of the change that is inevitable was ahead and it gave me some actual life experience (as cliché as that sounds). You’ll have some of the best years of your lifetime walking on campus and going to football games and creating a complete university experience for yourself.
